Here is my latest original work of art, ‘The wave’, completed this week.
The sun rising over the sea shines through the breaking wave.
Let’s hope we will see more of these amazing sunrises when the Summer decides to appear.
Available to order as a print so the sunrise will always be beautiful in your home.
Below are my two latest completed works ‘The Mist’ & ‘The Rise’.
These paintings showcase a new style I have developed. They are fresh and loose in their delivery using the different mediums of charcoal and acrylic. Both pieces are part of a series I am creating for a new exhibition next year. They are beautifully framed and float mounted, giving an attractive depth and shadow to each.
The pieces are now for sale. Enquires and viewings are welcomed and I can be contacted at details below
Below is my latest completed work ‘The Shadow’, which is shown in picture below on my studio wall. At nearly 4ft by 4ft this work has been a huge but enjoyable undertaking.
After all the hard work I am delighted to say that the painting has been chosen to be shown at the 189th Royal Hibernian Academy Exhibition. I am very proud that my painting is being displayed in this prestigious exhibition. The RHA Annual Exhibition runs from the 20th of May 2019 to August 2019 if you would like to pop in to view all of this years selected works. The gallery is on Ely Place, Dublin 2.
Below the painting shows deep, moving water with light falling across it. A shadow cuts and twists through the water, but we don’t know what casts the shadow..

This painting is one of many new pieces I am creating for an exciting new exhibition next year in Dublin City. The details of which will be announced shortly. In the meantime the pieces are being pre-sold by appointment. To arrange a studio visit I can be contacted on details below.
Over the past few months I have been working on several projects and have completed eight new paintings to date.
My latest painting, ‘In The Valley’, was a very enjoyable and challenging project to work on. The painting shows a scene from Glendalough Co. Wicklow. The water is very different to the sea I usually portray. Lake water has very different movements and colours to the sea. Irish landscapes, both inland and coastline, have such a diverse and unique array of colours, tones and textures. It felt a huge accomplishment to complete this painting getting the mountains, trees and of course, the water to look as it does, taking 8 weeks to do so.
I am working on a number of projects at the moment including commissions and will be taking on more commissions going forward. If you have a vision in mind for a painting I can be contacted through email or by phone to discuss ideas (details below).
Also, if you have a favourite from any of my previous paintings, prints are available through the website or again, I can be contacted direct.
